From 16–20 September 2026, Southampton will become the UK's centre of scientific discovery as it hosts the British Science Festival for the first time in over 30 years. Hosted by the University of Southampton, this five-day celebration will bring together leading researchers, innovators, artists and curious minds for an exciting programme of more than 100 free events across the city.
Whether you're fascinated by space, health, engineering, artificial intelligence, climate science or the natural world, the festival offers something for everyone.
