According to the 2024 Economic Impact Study produced and published by the Events Industry Association (EIA), the conference sector contributes around £11.5 billion to the UK economy and supports more than 126,000. A large part of that economic boost comes from more than seven million overseas delegates and – as one of the larger conference hubs in the south of England, Southampton is ideally placed to help boost those numbers.
