What is Veganuary

Veganuary is a global initiative that encourages people to try a more plant-based diet. Taking place during January every year, the campaign inspires individuals to explore vegan food and drink options, whether they’re committing for the full month or simply looking to introduce more plant-based meals into their routine.

Below are a few places to add to your list of places to try this month!

Stakks & Co

Known originally for their sweet and savoury fluffy American style pancakes, since they opened their doors in 2025, Stakks has expanded their menu to include many more delicious bites from English breakfasts to burgers. They take their vegan options to a whole nother level with a whole dedicated menu with vegan options such as their gourmet vegan avocado toasts on fresh sourdough bread, forest burger, Biscoff pancakes and small bites such as their vegan toasted bap with mushroom and peppers.

Looking for a new coffee spot where you can sit back and watch the world go by? Enter Coffeelogy — a café with a difference, where great taste meets creativity. They are a cosy independent coffee shop within an art gallery known as Gallery Grounds. If you’re a fan of a hearty fry-up, their Vegan English Breakfast is a must-try. Think vegan sausage and cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and a hash brown, plus a unique twist: fried tofu, served alongside fresh toast. It’s next-level comfort food.

Stopping by at lunchtime? Coffeelogy also serves daily salads and vegan toasties, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed lunch break. And if you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’re in for a treat — their freshly baked vegan cheesecakes are seriously tempting. The Vanilla vegan St Sebastian Cheesecake is a standout and well worth a try.

And it’s not just about the food. Coffeelogy takes its coffee just as seriously, using locally sourced beans from local roasters to make sure every cup is high quality and full of flavour.
