This month, the locks come off some of the city's most treasured heritage sites, giving you the chance to explore behind closed doors for free during Heritage Open Days. Southampton's largest multi-venue music venue returns this September to celebrate the talented local bands, singers and musicians across the region. Shine Night Walk, 9 October, Guildhall Square

Southampton Fireworks display, 7 November, Mayflower Park
