Guildhall Square, nestled in the heart of Southampton's Cultural Quarter is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and central location.

Event highlights
REGULAR ACTIVITY – Bike Doctor: First Thursday of the month 10:00am – 2.00pm. Free bike safety check. Minor alterations, adjustments are free - replacement work is free and users just pay for parts e.g. replacement inner tube or brake pads. The Bike Doctor can also give advice on maintenance or if more extensive work is needed. View here for latest information.
- Vegan Market: 8 November 10.30am - 4pm
- Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade: 9 November Parade starts from Guildhall Square at 10.30am, Service takes place at the Cenotaph. Temporary road closures in place.
- Christmas Market activities: 13 November onwards or visit the Southampton Christmas Market website

Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade
To facilitate this event road closures will be in place between 7am and 2pm. on Sunday 9th November.
West Marlands Road - entire length.
Commercial Road - from junction at Havelock Road to Above Bar Street.
Above Bar Street - from junction at New Road / Civic Centre Road to junction at Brunswick Place.
Gibbs Road - entire length.
Civic Centre car park will be closed 5am - 1pm.

Southampton Christmas Market
The Southampton Christmas Market, organised by S&D Leisure will run from Thursday 13th November to Sunday 4th January 2026. The market will extend to Guildhall Square, where a selected fairground attraction the Star Flyer will be located, creating a lively festive experience. The opening times of the attractions in the Square are -
Monday to Thursday: 11am – 9pm
Friday & Saturday: 10am – 10pm
Sunday: 11am – 7pm
Tuesday, 31st December (New Year’s Eve): 11am – 7pm
Wednesday, 25th December (Christmas Day): Closed
Set-up and dismantling activities will generally occur between 8am and 7pm, with any work outside these hours requiring approval from Southampton City Council.
S&D Leisure is working closely with Southampton City Council and other partners to minimise disruption to residents and businesses. Noise levels will be carefully monitored, and we encourage you to reach out with any concerns, which we will address promptly and professionally.
